- Support and promote residents’ dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality.
- Execute monthly activity programs that meet residents’ psychosocial needs, including one-on-one engagement when appropriate.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and facilitating activities, events, and life enrichment programs.
- Document resident participation and maintain accurate activity records.
- Monitor and maintain activity supplies, equipment, and event materials to ensure program success.
- Capture and share photos of community events, celebrations, and special occasions.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and resident safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Activities Director and team by providing feedback, supporting department goals, and completing additional assigned duties.
- High school diploma/GED required; experience working with older adults preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance.
- Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor with strong moral and ethical character.
- Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and effective in challenging or unexpected situations.
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when appropriate.
- Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care and engagement.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical activities throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and safely transport residents in wheelchairs.
